The standard UNI 9795/2013 relating to Design, Installation and Maintenance of automatic fire detection and alarm signaling systems, states in detail the performances of “Electro-acoustic systems applied to emergency services” with particular reference to the minimum and maximum level of sound pressure for the various rooms, as well as the minimum values of the intelligibility (by STI or STIPA index). The chapter 11.3.3 of UNI ISO 7240/19 (referred to by the UNI 9795/2013) requires the control of speech intelligibility every 12 months.
