The S1P thermal detector is a fully mechanical device.
Its construction technology make it robust and reliable, suited for industrial and harsh enviroment where electronics devices are not suitable.
S1P thermal detectors are available in three main product categories:
S1P MAX : Fixed temperature detector. The detector is activated exceeding the maximum temperature .The alarm temperature is calibrated as required by customer over a range of -20÷190°C.
S1P SD : Fixed and rate of rise temperature detector. The alarm is activated exceeding the maximum temperature or for a rapid rate or rise of temperature.Range of calibration is -20÷88°C.
S1P DF : Rate of rise detector. the alarm is activated on a rapid rise greater than 14°C increase per minute. Range of operating temperature is -20°C÷90°C.
S1P detectors are suitable for fire detection and extinguish systems.
Normally, is recommended a temperature of 30÷35°C above the maximum operating temperature of the environment .
The selection of the most appropriate categories of detectors is must be evaluated according to the characteristics of the environment.
S1P detectors are common mounted in vertically position but is possible to install horizontally.
The Calibration accuracy for all models is ± 5°C.
The periodic system test of the heat detectors consist by introducing it a heat source that not exceed by 20% the fixed alarm temperature of the detector.
(for example for a heat detector with an alarm point of 100°C we can heat at maximum of 120°C)
S1P detectors are available N.O and N.C.
The maximum current contact is 2,5 A at 48VDC AC-DC (resistive load).
S1p detectors are made from:
Body sensor:
Material: Brass UNI 5705-65/Stainless steel AISI 304.
Brass version is nickel plated to protect it from corrosion.
For temperature above 150°C the body sensori s made of stainless steel AISI 304.
Enclosure:
The detectors are mounted in a die-cast aluminium alloy enclosure with IP55 degree of protection. dimensions are 92x92mm with threaded ½ GAS entries.
A bracket connection terminal in installed inside the enclosure for heat detector and external connections.
